Japanese man accused of Brunswick murder

tokimasaA 65-year-old Brunswick woman was killed in her home Sunday, according to the Brunswick Police Department.
Ohgo Tokimasa, 35, of Yokohama, Japan, has been charged with the murder and auto theft in the death of Naomi Acres, police said.

Police officers arrived at Acres’ Third Avenue home to conduct a welfare check and determined an assault might have taken place inside. The officers forced their way into the home and found Acres’ body.

Her 2008 Prius was missing, and a BOLO was issued for the vehicle and for Tokimasa, who had recently visited Acres.
Tokimasa was found on Walden Shores Lane and was arrested and charged with murder and theft by taking of the automobile.
