Brunswick, GA- Police discovered the bodies of couple Carson Holliman, 64 his wife Vondell Holliman, 63 and their adult grandson Christopher Holliman, 24 this past Sunday. The police were summoned to the residence at 1:13 p.m. on Sunday to perform a welfare check. They have determined they are all victims of a homicide. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called to assist.

Stunned neighbors are in agreement with the local police suspecting foul play is apparent because the family did not seem to have any enemies. They were well known and the couple regularly attended the Zion Baptist Church. After not hearing from the family, members of the congregation were concerned and called the police to check on them. Neighbors said they hadn’t heard any gunfire coming from the family home or seen any suspicious activity.

Neighbor Robert George said “They were really a really humble family, laid-back, went to the church up the road here. Just stay to themselves and you know, really laid-back,” George lived just blocks away and shopped at the same grocery store as the
Hollimans’. He added Carson Holliman lived a quiet life and was kind to his neighbors.
One relative of the family Howard Mackenzie was quoted as saying, “They didn’t have anything in there to take except a bunch of love. That’s what was in there. Worth more than anything, was a bunch of love,” He went on to say, “I just want some answers because they were loving people.”

Another neighbor recalled that just a few weeks prior another neighbor was shot on the very same street. In this shooting, the victim was shot multiple times with his daughters in the home. This is leading some in the community to believe the Holliman couple were targeted and killed due to mistaken identity.

At the time of this writing, the investigation is ongoing. According to a social media post by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a reward of $15,000.00 will be given to any person or persons whose tip leads to an arrest in this case.

Those with information are asked to call Brunswick Police’s Silent Witness at 912-267-5516, or the GBI at 912-729-6198.
