Brunswick lawyer on $80,000 Fraud Charge

d.GibsonBrunswick lawyer Donald Carlton Gibson was recently arrested on forgery and theft charges. Gibson allegedly deposited an $80,000 check intended for another lawyer’s client as the settlement of a lawsuit into his own business account.

He had been booked into the Glynn County jail charged with third degree forgery and felony theft by conversion. He had two bails, set at $2,679 and $192,058 respectively.

It is said that Cynthia Taylor had sued Paul Asher over his handling of the accounts of her roofing company, Taylor Roofing. However, Asher died before a resolution was made. His widow, Jane L.
