BRUNSWICK, Ga. – With blue and gold BHS banners as a backdrop and a Pirates jersey with the number 1 adorning the podium on stage, Larry Harold, Jr.
was introduced as the new head coach of the Brunswick High School football program at a press conference held on Wednesday, Jan. 28 in the school auditorium.
“Coming from a small AA program in Montezuma, Ga., they told me things would be different here and they sure are. This is the big time!” Harold told the media, BHS and school system staff, and community leaders. “I’ve always had a dream of coaching ‘big boy’ football in South Georgia and I look forward to competing in this tremendous region with great teams like Ware County, Glynn Academy, Coffee County and all the others. I’m a competitor and will work my fingers to the bone to get this program where it needs to be.”
