Black Panther Sequel Shoots Scenes in Brunswick

Brunswick will be in the next Black Panther movie. The Marvel Studios blockbuster will film scenes in the South Georgia town. Marvel affiliate Kimoyo Productions II LLC received approval through local government to shoot at the Mary Ross Waterfront Park.

On the permit is the movie title, ‘Summer Break’. It is reported that this title is the name of ‘Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever.’  The crew has been in Brunswick for several weeks. The actual shooting is scheduled for October 28 through November 2.

Public access to various areas such as on the East River is restricted. As in most cases involving major movie productions, the locals will experience traffic delays and inconveniences. However, most scenes are being shot 5pm to 7am.

There are economic benefits to the town of course. Extras cast from the local area will be paid $100 per day with $50 to be paid to cover COVID testing costs.

Professional film crew people stay in hotels and spend money for a host of services. Filming for Black Panther 2 has taken place mostly in Atlanta.

Black people went crazy over this film last time. It will be sad this time around knowing that we will not have Howard University graduate Chadwick Bozeman in the film. His death to colin cancer left many to wonder who could fill his shoes. The release date for this 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been pushed from July 2022 to November 2022.
