Karen Patricia Buggs, born on June 16, 1943, in Jacksonville, FL, and transitioned on May 7, 2024, leaves behind a legacy of faith, dedication to music, and service. Married to Godfrey Leo Jenkins for 52 years, Karen was a devoted music educator, teaching for 43 years in Duval County Public Schools. A Florida A&M University alumna, she was active in her church, sorority, and community. She will be remembered by her loving family and countless students she inspired. Visitation and funeral services will be held on May 17th and 18th, with interment on May 20th.
