Ray Dukes Named NAIA Preseason All-American

dukesJacksonville, Florida- Edward Waters Redshirt Junior Running Back/Kick Returner Ray Dukes has been named a 2014 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Preseason All-American by USA College Football. The 5’9, 160lb, Jacksonville native was ranked in the NAIA’s Top 40 in six statistical categories during the 2013 season.

Last season, Dukes ranked fi fth in the NAIA in All- Purpose Yards Per Game (168.4 YPG), 9th in Total Kickoff Return Yards (701 Yds), 13th in All Purpose Yards (1, 678 Yds.), 13th in Punt Return Yards Per Attempt (12.3 Yds Per Att.), 17th in Total Punt Returns (197 PR’s) & 33rd in Kickoff Returns Per Attempt (22.6 Yds Per Att.)

Dukes joins Point University Running Back Rufus Mason as they only two student-athletes from the Sun Conference to be selected to the Preseason All-American list by USA College Football. Dukes and the Tigers will open the 2014 campaign on Saturday; August 23rd at 7:30pm where they will host the Glory Eagles of the University of Faith.
