Florida caregiver arrested for stealing from elderly residents

A 30-year-old Florida woman was arrested who stole $12,000 in cash and jewelry from residents of the assisted living facility where she worked.

Melissa Taylor, admitted to stealing from multiple residents over the past several months. According to Taylor, since October 2015, she stole a diamond ring, gold chains, cash and a gift card from five separate victims who were all over the age of 80. Taylor said she traded and sold the stolen jewelry for money to pay her utility bills.

Taylor, is charged with five counts of theft from a person 65 years old or older. She was released Monday evening on $7,500 bond.

Woman wanted for theft

8.29.15_Priscilla GreeneJacksonville police are searching for a woman who is wanted on multiple counts of theft.

Police said Priscilla Greene is wanted on two counts of grand theft and three counts of felony petit theft.

Anyone with information about Greene’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
