17 Arrested In Operation Zig Zag

31 year old Larry Worth is considered one of the ringleaders in a group of 17 who were arrested in connection to identification theft recently. At least 185 people are said to be at risk of having their identities used to file fraudulent tax returns and cash refund checks according to State Attorney Angela Corey and other investigators.

The Internal Revenue Service and Secret Service joined the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in a seven month investigation of what has been dubbed Operation Zig Zag.

“The is one of the largest identity theft cases we’ve investigated,” stated Corey. “We found victims we were children; we found victims who were deceased; we found many living victims.”
